Most editions of the ancient apocrypha and pseudepigrapha in print today are public-domain paperbacks, cheap stock, tired translations, covers that look like they were assembled in five minutes. Texts like The Book of Jubilees shaped centuries of religious thought and were excluded from most canons for reasons that had little to do with their substance. They deserve better than an $8 paperback.
